Dean Ulloa
Senior Associate, Principal of Technology

Dean has worked at Ted Moudis Associates since its inception in 1990, guiding the firm’s information systems advances through the years. His vision has helped develop the roadmap for the firm’s Information Technology program and CAD/BIM systems. With over 30 years of AutoCAD and IT experience in the manufacturing, engineering, and interior design professions, Dean has been instrumental in driving new collaboration technologies and spearheading TMA’s mobility program, design technology applications, audio-visual collaborations, and the early adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Dean’s mission is to provide the backbone and tooling necessary to enable our entire firm to evolve quickly and build the best possible products for our clients. Dean maintains our expanding CAD library and develops custom scripts and blocks to increase productivity for AutoCAD and Revit users. Fluent in AutoCAD, CAFM, 3D Studio, Adobe Suite, Revit, Newforma, he has extensive hands-on experience in the all of the firm’s design and architectural software programs. Dean’s ability to document and facilitate coordination among members of the design and technical team through drawings, technical data, and specifications minimizes design and construction conflicts and helps keep projects on time and under budget. With demonstrated expertise in network infrastructure, Dean has also led the firm’s efforts in disaster recovery planning as well as the data security initiative, ensuring that all project data is secure and stored with multiple redundancies.

Dean leads cross functional team members and IT consultants to define and implement demand forecasting, production planning, and on an as-needed basis, assists with the company’s various products and project rollouts including platform upgrades, server upgrades, software rollouts, and phone system communications. He provides technology recommendations based on the needs of the departments and assists employees with technical support with software and hardware running on various platforms.
