History

After 20 years in the architectural business, Ted Moudis had a vision for a firm of his own and took the plunge in 1990 and founded Ted Moudis Associates (TMA) as an architectural design firm focusing on the workplace, despite an economic recession at the time. Christopher Savoglou joined Ted in 1990 as one of the first team members and then became Senior Principal alongside Ted. Their shared values helped develop TMA into the firm it is today.

Based in New York City with an office in Chicago that opened in 2001, TMA has expanded and organized its personnel into multiple studio teams that have both technical and design expertise. Each team works with specialists that serve as additional shared resources for workplace strategy, change management, furniture coordination, branding design, detailed quality control and code review, and more. Each team approaches a project holistically by attentively listening to the client to understand their needs and goals; advising the client on current best practices in workplace design; guiding the process expertly through each phase; and completing the project according to the schedule and budget parameters laid out by the client.
